A film crew is shooting in Kashmir where a new comer actress is excited about her lead role. A few days later the terrible news of her suicide circulates. No one believes that she could have killed herself and thus the cops are called. An Army officer than enters the scene and pretends like he is the one in charge of investigating the case. Things get out of hand when the real cops arrive and arrest the army man. He however confesses that he is the actress’s estranged brother who had got a letter some days back about her joy of getting the lead role. He then tells them that the veteran actress on set might have killed her as her earring was found in her hotel room.
Things get more murky until the film’s producer comes forth and confesses that his mentally unstable brother has committed the crime as the actress rejected his advances. Just when they thought that have solved the mystery, more murders happen and the real killer seems to be at large. The film is directed and produced by Vinod Vinod. The music is composed by Vanraj Bhatia and the story is written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The star cast includes Amol Palekar, Naseeruddin Shah, Soni Razdan, Shabana Azmi, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Pankaj Kapoor and Sushma Seth.
