A young music student listens to tales and legends related to the birth of this classical music form of singing and how it came to become so crucial. The stories are then enacted by two individuals who give a clear insight into the history of the classical singing form. The film is directed and written by Kumar Shahani. Its cinematography is by K K Mahajan. The star cast includes Rajat Kapoor, Mangal Dhillon and Mita Vashisht.
