Kamal Khosla, played by Anupam Kher lives with his wife, elder son Bunty, younger son Cherry and daughter Nikki. Recently Kamal has bought a piece of land and plans to build a house there. His younger son Cherry meanwhile has plan of his own where he wants to settle in the US. He lets in on his plan to his friend Asif and girlfriend Meghna. He tells his parents and family only much later who aren’t happy with the idea and get disturbed. Meanwhile, a ruthless business man named Khurana has encroached on their newly purchased property. He demands Rs 1.5 million to get their land back.
Khosla and Bunty go to the local cops and register a complaint but are unable to help them. In stead they ask them to pay up Khurana and even can help get it reduced by asking for a commission. Khosla and his family out rightly refuse to pay. They then hatch a plan with Meghna’s theatre company to enact as if they are land owners and try to sell it to Khurana. They find a land owned by the fisheries department and pretend to be the owners and take money from Khurana and pay it to buy Khosla’s land he has encroached on.
The movie is directed by Dibakar Banerjee and produced by Savita Raj Hiremath and Ronnie Screwvala. The music is composed by Bapi-Tutul and Dhruv Dhalla. The cinematography is by Amitabha Singh.
