Karan, played by Fardeen Khan is born in Kolkata and intends to soon go to Canada for further studies. However he has a horrible accident due to which he is forced to complete his studies in Mumbai. There he meets Khushi, played by Kareena Kapoor, who is raised in Uttarakhand. Her father believes that she doesn’t need to study any more and should marry someone who will stay with them in their house. But Khushi wants to study more and thus continues her studies at Mumbai University. Karan and Khushi meet through their common friends Priya and Vicky.
Karan and Khushi now have to get Vicky and Priya together as they are in love. As the duo try to get the common friends together, they end up falling in love. However their egos clash and they are not able to convey their love for each other. However after a while the two convey their love for each other and eventually get married.
The movie is directed by S.J Surya and produced by Surinder Kapoor and Boney Kapoor. The music is composed by Anu Malik.
