Kabir, played by Arjun Kapoor is the son of a wealthy businessman. He has all the luxuries anyone could ask for and is quite de-motivated in life. He has no goals of achieving anything earth shattering, neither does he want to take over his fathers business. Kia, played by Kareena Kapoor is a highly driven girl who is ready to work hard to achieve success in her career. She would love other women to be career oriented like her too.
A chance meeting between the two turns into friendship and they soon fall in love. The couple soon realizes that Kia is career oriented but Kabir is not, hence the latter decides to be a stay at home husband while his wife would go and conquer the corporate world. The set works quite well for them, until one day during an interview Kia mentions her rare setup of marriage. Soon the word spreads and the media wants to interview Kabir to get his point of view.
Kabir’s interview goes very well and he becomes somewhat of a sensation. He is thus called to many seminars and talk shows to discuss how he is managing things at home while his wife goes to work. All this gives Kabir lots of popularity and he starts getting busy. Their marriage meanwhile starts going downhill. Kia gets upset that Kabir might have used her to gain popularity and fame. Constant arguments cause strain in their marriage. An invitation by Jaya Bachchan makes the couple realize how they are a brave and unique couple and Kia and Kabir reconcile.
