Raj, played by Shahid Kapoor, is a brilliant student. He aces academics as well as sports and other cultural activities. However for a few years nothing seems to go right in his life. The moment he reaches a jackpot or something positive is about to happen, it just vanishes or slips away from his hands. Fed up of this bad luck that’s been following him for forever, Raj, meets a fortune teller who tells him that he can change his luck and hi stars will shine when he finds his lucky charm. He must then never let it go.
That’s when he meets Priya, played by Vidya Balan, who is a human activist and will do anything for the betterment of the society and humanity. She is hell bent of saving a community center and is working hard towards it. Raj on the other hand happens to have gotten lucky with everything. All the events in his life are going the right way and he thinks that Priya is his lucky charm. However he gets a big project of building a Mall, which is unfortunately going to come in place of the community center that Priya is fighting to save. Raj is now in a he dilemma. But love conquers all and he gives up his dream for his lucky charm.
The movie is directed by Aziz Mirza and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Kumar Taurani. The music is composed by Pritam and Sajid-Wajid.
