Bachubhai, played by Irrfan Khan is going about his day like any other normal day. He then stops over at a phone bhoot on a busy street to make a call. While he is trying to connect to his call, he keeps getting interrupted by someone and Bachubhai starts to get annoyed. He decides to leave the phone bhooth. Just then the phone inside the booth rings and Bachubhai answers it to an unknown voice that warns him not to leave the booth at any cost. He thinks it’s a prank but just then a man comes to the booth and interrupts Bachubhai and he gets shot.
Now Bachubhai is certain that the unknown caller is also watching him closely, thus any wrong move and he can get killed. Soon the word of the phone bhoot chaos spreads and news reporters, media and the public gather around to see what the caller will do next. The caller instructs Bachubhai to do as he says to be safe. He asks him to transfer a corrupt politicians black money to the public who are rightful owners of the money. He also gets an officer transferred. Thus after completing all the tasks Bachubhai is free to go and the caller is revealed to be Vijay Singh, played by Sanjay Dutt who is the Chief of Investigation Bureau.
The movie is directed by Mani Shakar and produced by Sohail Maklai. The music is composed by Gourov Dasgupta, Vishal Dadlani and Panchhi Jalonvi.
