Krishna was a naughty child and soon sent to an ashram to concentrate on his studies by his cunning uncle Kans. There he meets a Brahmin boy named Sudama and both become the best of friends. One day when the guru’s wife offers food to both the boys, Sudama eats both of their share and rejoices. When the guru’s wife hears of this, she is mortified and curses Sudama that he will live in poverty and hardships. Sure enough when both boys leave the ashram, Sudama lives a life full of struggles and has no means to live comfortably. Krishna on the other hand has abundance of everything and becomes the favorite among women in Dwarka. This makes Paundrik jealous and he forces people to worship himself and treat him as Krishna.
The film is directed by Chandrakant and produced by Upendra Jha. The music is composed by Shanker Jaikishen. The star cast includes Biswajeet, Dara Singh, Vidya Sinha, Sudhir Dalvi, Satyen Kappu, Ranjeet, Jayshree Gadkar and Anita Guha.
