Vicky loses his parents at a young age and grows up as an orphan. He is however keen to study and become a good person. One day a local teacher from the village notices the hard working Vicky trying to study and feels sorry for him. He brings him into his school and starts to teach him. Soon he falls in love with a girl named Aarti. Vicky then goes abroad to study further and keeps in touch with Aarti. After a few years when
Vicky is back in his home town, he comes to know that Aarti is sold by her evil uncle for some money. The men try to molest her but Aarti saves herself and commits suicide. Vicky is furious and devastated to hear this and kills the culprits one by one by throwing them down of a high rise building. He then becomes a notorious gangster. He then dodges the cops and is believed to be dead. After many years a saintly figure appears in the village and his former associate Neera is shocked to see it is non other than Vicky himself. The film is directed by Subhash Ghai and produced by Ranjit Virk. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Dharmendra, Shashi Kapoor, Premnath, Zeenat Aman, Sachin, Ranjeeta and Hema Malini
