Rohit, played by Hrithik Roshan is a scientist who works for the Indian Government and Krishna, also Hrithik Roshan is his son, who can never keep a job for too long since he’s also a superhero and constantly missing. Rohit is researching on bring dead human tissues to life with the help of Solar energy but fails everytime. Krishna aka Krish saves a plane full of people by helping in landing it safely.
Krrish then comes to know of a deadly virus killing people in Namibia and no one having its antidote. He then consults Dr. Shetty, played by Arif Zakaria about the situation, who receives a call from Dr. Alok who asks him to meet at the Kaal Labs. They are both murdered by Kaya, played by Kangana Ranaut, a shape-changing mutant female and henchwoman of Kaal, played by Vivek Oberoi, an evil genius. It comes to be known that the virus was spread by Kaal in order to make millions from selling the antidote.
Rohit later discovered that the virus which has reached Mumbai has no effect on Krishna his wife or himself. Thus he prepares an antidote with Krishna’s blood. Hearing this Kaal sends his henchmen to find out how the other antidote was made. Krrish rescues his father but his wife Priya gets injured. She is hospitalised but later kidnapped by Kaal. Kaya meanwhile shapeshifts into Priya and lives with him and eventually falls in love with him. She later decides to help Krrish rescue his wife.
Meanwhile at Kaal labs, it is learned that Kaal is actually Rohit’s son made from an experiment that didn’t go well and he was born handicapped. Kaal later kills Krrish but Rohit uses his experiment and saves him but absorbs excess solar energy and dies. Krrish untimately kills Kaal with his fathers experiment.
The movie is directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan.
