Kudrat(Fate) is a reincarnation drama film directed by Chetan Anand, produced by B.S.Khanna starring Rajesh Khanna and Hema Malini in dual roles, Vinod Khanna which was released on the 3rd April 1981.
Chandramukhi (Hema Malini) along with her parents travels to Shimla wherein she finds the surroundings very familiar. She starts acts strangely so it is worrying and her parents and she meet Dr. Naresh Gupta (Vinod Khanna) who starts liking Chandramukhi. The parents are happy and talk about the alliance with Dr. Naresh for their Chandramukhi.
Mohan Kapoor(Rajesh Khanna) is a lawyer who comes to Shimla too as he wants to meet is Godfather Janak Singh (Raaj Kumar) who educates him, and wants to get his daughter Karuna(Priya Rajvansh) married to Mohan. One day Chandramukhi bumps into Mohan and she feels some strange connections with him. Unable to understand she starts getting nightmares about Madhav (Rajesh Khanna), who is a look alike of Mohan. Dr Naresh realises there is something wrong and requests Mohan to help him find out the truth. On a trip over a cliff, Chandramukhi remembers everything and tells them that in her last birth she was Paro(Hema Malini) in love with Madhav(Rajesh Khanna) and that she was raped by a zamindar’s son and killed. They find out that it was Janak Singh , Mohan being a lawyer takes him to court and the police find a skeleton in their house buried inside the wall. Karuna is so shocked that she sets the house on fire and gets burnt. In the end Chandramukhi and Mohan get married . Dr Naresh returns to the US.
