Inspector Prithviraj, played by Sanjay Dutt is an honest and brave police officer. He lives with his wife Anjali, played by Mahima Chaudhary and sister Aarti. All the gangsters, criminals and his other subordinates are afraid of him. After joining the Mumbai police force, Prithviraj wrecks havoc in Iqbal Pasina’s illegal businesses and shuts them. He starts having immense respect for him from then on. His seniors respect him for his honesty and dedication as a law-enforcing officer. One day a wealthy smuggler Baburao’s son and his friend trap a girl into a hotel and molest her.
Prithviraj makes up his mind to get the culprits to justice. Baburao has money, influence and connections and it is tough to implicate him or his son in any crime. Prithviraj thus takes help from Iqbal and the opposition minister. But justice comes at a price and Prithviraj realizes that soon enough. He kills Baburao and the minister who double crosses him to give the girl justice.
The movie is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Pravin Shah. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya. The star cast includes Om Puri, Mukesh Risih, Shivaji Satam, Salil Ankola, Sayaji Shinde, Pramod Moutho, Raja Sharma, Sukhvinder Singh, Mahesh Anand, Radhika Rana, Kashmira Shah and Suman Rangnanthan.
