Pinky Palkar, played by Deepika Padukone is a straightforward and independent girl. She is an aspiring skater and dreams of becoming a number one skater and taking part in a Television show. Her conviction and courage despite her humble upbringing is inspiring. Despite living in a chawl she dreams big. All her dreams and aspirations are crumbled to the floor when a fighter named Nandu, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, injures her in a freak car accident. It leaves her blind forever. Heartbroken but not losing hope, Pinky carries on trying to challenge herself every day.
Nandu realizes what he has done and is extremely remorseful and guilty. He helps her use her other senses to get through things and see without eyes. He trains her to strong despite her disability. She in turn teaches him how to skate and they become good friends. Evetually Nandu and Pinky fall in love. The movie is directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The story is written by Gopi Puthran. The music is composed by R Anandh and the singers include Ronit Sarkar, Mohit Chauhan, Shail Hada, Anushka Manchanda, Shilpa Rao and Suraj Jagan. The other star cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Piyush Mishra, Manish Chaudhary, Viraj Adhav, Namit Das, Vinay Sharma, Amey Pandya and Palomi Ghosh.
