Love Sonia is directed by Tabrez Noorani, produced by David Womark/ Tabrez Noorani, released on 21st June 2018 at the London Indian Festival and in India on the 14th of September 2018. It stars Mrunal Thakur/ Freida Pinto/Demi Moore/Manoj Bajpayee/ Richa Chadda/ Rajkumar Rao and Riya Sisodiya.
This movie is about two sisters Sonia (Mrunal Thakur) and Preeti (Richa Chadda). They are robbed of their innocence as their father is in debt and has to sell one daughter. The other sister goes in search of her sibling. Sonia gets into trafficking in the flesh trade. They go through a harrowing, challenging and horrible journey through the red-light areas of Mumbai, and how the innocent younger sister Preeti has by all means decided to rescue her sister keeping herself intact in this bad world.
The film did do well on the awareness part .
