Maj. Vikram Singh, played by John Abraham is assigned the task of finding the solution of the feud between the uncooperative Sri Lankan LTF leader Anna Bhaskaran and the Indian forces, who want a peace treaty signed. Vikram goes and meets the RAW chief and his deputy to discuss his strategy. He goes to Sri Lanka and meets a war correspondent Jaya Sahni, played by Nargis Fakhri. While finding a way to stop the rebels he comes to know of Shri, the only man who can oppose Anna.

 

Vikram, promises to give arms to Shri and help him rise against Anna, however this arms deal doesn’t go as expected and Vikram’s associate is killed by Anna’s goons. Vikram’s senior gets angry with Vikram’s working style and gives him a piece of his mind thus asking him to go into hiding. Meanwhile his senior’s associate is given Vikram’s photo, asking them to keep him alive. Later there is news about Vikram’s kidnapping but he is left alive yet badly wonded. He starts suspecting his senior Bala and asks a trustworthy associate to watch him closely.

 

A massive attack is launched on the LTF basecamp where Anna survives and later kills Shri. Meanwhile, Vikram finds his wife murdered in his house. He then tracks down Vasu, who informs them that Bala is a mole of the LTF. Later, Jaya tells Vikram to meet someone in Bangkok, and he gives him a tape where they see Bala being forced to give out all information. He later commits suicide. They learn of a plan to assassinate the ex-Prime Minister and thus they seal the coast line. They learn that the assassination will be at 10p.m with plastic explosive.

 

Vikram reaches the spot of the ex-PM’s rally but its too late, a girl puts garland on the ex-PM’s neck and pulls the trigger killing herself, the PM and many people around. The movie is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by John Abraham, Shoojit Sircar and Ronnie Lahiri. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra.
