Dharam is a hard working and honest farmer who struggles to make ends meet for his pregnant wife and son Deepak. One day the conniving and ruthless Thakur Amrit Singh asks Dharam to hand over his plot of land in return for a hefty amount. Dharam flatly refuses as this is his only wealth. A furious Thakur kills Dharam. His widowed wife now gives birth to a daughter named Dolly. The family is in dire straights and have no source of income. Due to this Dolly and Deepak aren’t able to get a decent education. When they grow up, Dolly begins to work as a maid at Thakur Sher Singh’s mansion so Deepak can get police training in the city.
One day Thakur Sher attacks Dolly and tries to molest her. She luckily escapes and meets a bandit who takes her under his wings. Dolly from then on becomes a bandit too and wants to avenge the atrocities her families have been put through. Deepak returns as a police officer and is assigned the task of nabbing his own sister who is now an outlaw. He is shocked at the turn of events. The film is directed by Naresh Saigal and produced by Ashok. The music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji and the screenplay is by Naresh Saigal. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar, Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar, Dimple Kapadia, Prem Chopra, Utpal Dutt, Raza Murad, Dara Singh, Vinod Mehra, Beena, Anita Raaj and Salma Agha.
