Mai is a Family Drama Film- The word Mai means Mother the Story- the protagonist is facing Alzheimer's Disease, depends on four children who are running away from her responsibility. A daughter named Madhu comes up to take responsibility, a highly emotional drama plot. Also, this will be the first film of Asha Bhosle as Actor Director & Writer- Mahesh Kodiyal, Cast- Asha Bhosle, Kshitee Jog, Shivani Joshi, Ram Kapoor.
The eldest daughter of Mai is the only one who has a piece of her heart with her mother. She decides to look after her desolate mother who was always there for them when they needed her growing up. Inspite of some objection from her husband she still decides to do the right things by taking care of her mother. As the days and months pass, Mai’s health deteriorates and she keeps getting flashes of her past days when she was happy and content with her family and coming back to reality she goes into depression.
Going in and out of the past and present creates havoc in the house, especially since Mai is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s syndrome. Things also aren’t peaceful with her elder daughter and her husband but things begin to change when Mai and her son-in-law connect. They have a new found friendship and things turn around for the best for them both. The movie is directed by Mahesh Kodiyal and Subhash Dawar. The music is composed by Nitin R Shankar.
