Chutki, played by Antara Mali, comes from a small town and is lives a poor life full of struggles. This doesn’t stop her from dreaming about her most favorite idol Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit. Chutki has always imagined herself dancing and acting like Madhuri and is highly obsessed with the film star. Chutki one day musters up enough courage to tell her parents about her dream of becoming a film actress. Her parents are in no mood to listen to her impossible dreams and have plans to get her married instead to a boy of their choice.
Horrified by her parents plans, Chutki confides in her close friend Raja, played by Rajpal Yadav, who sympathizes with her. He gives her the idea of getting married to each other and then going to chase her dreams. She agrees and both embark on a journey to the city of dreams Mumbai. However Chutni learns very soon that coming from a small town is a disadvantage and she will have to struggle much more than she imagined. There is cut throat competition and for every film role, there are at least a thousand people who are available to do it. Raja and Chutki will have to fight against all odds.
The movie is directed by Chandan Arora and produced by Ram Gopal Varma and Marjorie Rodrigues. The music is composed by Amar Mohile.
