Seenu, played by Varun Dhawan studies at a college in Ooty but fails in his final exams by just 2 marks. Desperate to finally get his degree, he kidnaps the professor’s daughter but that plan fails miserably. His father however, allows him to work in his shopping mall but Seenu is determined to get his degree anyhow and decides to study at Tift College Bengaluru. He stays with a friend there who reluctantly allows him to do so.
On arriving in college he hopes and prays he finishes his studies but he immediately spots a beautiful girl Sunaina, played by Ileana D’Cruz, but she ignores him. After a lot of trues she tells him that her marriage is forcibly arranged with a corrupt officer, Angad, played by Arunoday Singh. Seenu and Sunaina fall in love but Angad doesn’t take it well and tries to shoot Seenu but ends up shooting his friend and gets suspended.
Meanwhile Sunaina gets kidnapped by a mafia king Vikrant and Seenu follows her. Vikrant tells Seenu that he must marry his daughter Ayesha, played by Nargis Fakhri as she has fallen for him. This is all Angad’s plan to get Seenu out of his way. However when Ayesha sees Angad, coincidentally she falls for him. Sunaina and Ayesha wear identical clothes and Angad gets fooled but not for long. However eventually Angad too falls in love with Ayesha and Seenu and Sunaina unite.
The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Shobha & Ekta Kapoor. The music is composed by Sajid-Wajid.
