Samir, played by Salman Khan is a renowned doctor and the best in his profession. He takes good care of his patients, especially the young female ones. The women too quickly seem to fall for his charm and good looks. However whenever they get to the topic of marrying him, he lies that he is already married. One day he happens to meet a beautiful girl called Sonia, played by Katrina Kaif and falls in love with her. He then lies to her that he is unhappily married and soon going to divorce his wife. Sonia however, insists on meeting his wife. Samir then introduces his clinic nurse Naina, played by Sushmita Sen, as his wife and his nephew and niece as his children.
He files for a fake divorce with the help of his close friend Vicky, played by Arshad Warsi. However, one day his mother comes to know this and stops him from divorcing. So Samir asks Naina to behave rudely with his mother so she stops liking her and asks Sameer to divorce her. Soon their plan works and Sonia agrees to marry Samir. But soon Sonia realizes that Naina loves him more she is more into his neighbor Pyare, played by Sohail Khan.
The movie is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sohail Khan and Dhillin Mehta. The film is written by Sanjay Chhel and Rumi Jaffrey. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, Salim and Sulaiman. The cinematography is by Vikas Sivaraman.
