Gauri lives with her maternal uncle and aunt. She is a lively and happy-go-lucky girl. She along with her uncle and aunt, help cleaning and cooking for the district forest officer. After the officers retirement a much younger Bombay based Vikas Kashyap takes his place. Soon Gauri falls in love with him thinking that he toohas feelings for her. But little does she know that Vikas is already in love with London based Sonia. They are soon to be engaged. As time passes by, Vikas notices Gauri’s dedication towards him and her traditional values and falls in love with her too. The film is directed by Kedar Kapoor and produced by Tarachand Barjatya. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Raj Kiran, Madhu Kapoor, Kalpana Iyer, Jagirdar, T P Jain, Shail Chaturvedi, Urmila Bhatt and Shubha Khote.
