Rane is an honest and deligient police officer who is ready to serve his life for his country. He is hell bent to wipe out criminals like P.C Mathur who are destroying the peace of the country. He however gets in Mathur’s bad books and the latter falsely implicates him on murder charges and gets him arrested for sever long years. These years in prison make Rane only think how he will take his revenge on the brute like Mathur. He then becomes an outlaw himself once he is released from jail. He then frantically searches Mathur to kill him and hires a young man named Jai. Jai however mistakes someone else for Mathur and kills him.
Jai is then remorseful and decides to leave the life of crime and lead an honest life. Rane who is now called Rana in the underworld is now left on his own devices to fight the evils of P.C Mathur and his gang. The film is directed by Mehul Kumar and produced by Pranlal V Mehta. The music is composed by Ravindra Jain. The star cast includes Raaj Kumar, Govinda, Farha Naaz, Shakti Kapoor, Om Puri, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Alok Nath, Paresh Rawal, Ashalata and Aruna Irani.
