An act of robbery upends Kamath's lifestyle, an isolated elderly widower. The next day, the cops discover him comatose and make remarks about his solitary way of life. He attempts to make friends with strangers in his pursuit of transformation, but eventually he meets Mrs. Handa, a colorful Punjabi woman. He follows her around, curious. Kamath's presence raises suspicions after her house is robbed, and they wind up together in the police station. Through charming exchanges, their friendship blossoms, and they forget their loneliness as they go on small excursions like breaking into people's homes.
