Maya is an Emotional-Romantic- Musical Family melodrama film created with excellence and written by P.C. Barua. The Story revolves around the life of Maya (played by Jamuna)- a sweet girl living with her family in poor conditions and with her rich cousin Shanta (played by Azoorie)- a beautiful girl- whose marriage gets arranged with Pratap (played by P. Sanyal)- a kind man- but he fells in love with Maya and this causes Shanta in rage and creates a rift in them- but fate plays its role, leading to consequences.
