Meera, played by Mandira Bedi is a cricket fanatic and lives a middle class life in a small chawl at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. She lives with her widowed mother, brother Manoj, his wife and son. They lost their father at a very young age and since then the children have handled the financial situation in the household. Manoj got himself a full time job at the age of 18, while Meera started teaching Math at a local school called Vishwa-Prem Vidyalaya and also heads the Meera XI cricket team. Her love for cricket has always been above all.
Meera’s family is now worried about her and have started looking for a suitable groom to get her married, but she doesn’t seem so keen. However, one day she meets a heart specialist Dr. Arjun who lives with his old father who is a dentist. The families meet and they decide on a wedding date. Everything seems to be going ok and the finally the wedding day arrives but Meera is nowhere to be found. Arjun now takes matters into his own hands and finds the answers.
The movie is directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni and produced by Pritish Nandy. The music is composed by Sandesh Shandilya.
