Arati Mishra thought that the worst in her life was over after she got divorced from her husband Suresh was based in the US for various reasons best known to them. But her life turns completely up side down when she gets the unfortunate phone call, telling her that her son Siddhartha, had been killed in a road accident in Kolkata. She rushes to Kolkata and Siddhartha’s co-worker Sahana, receives her at the airport and takes her to Siddhartha’s crematorium site.
After Siddhartha’s funeral, Arati is taken to the guest-house where Siddhartha stayed. There she learns that before he died, he had attended a party and was completely intoxicated but insisted on driving home himself. That’s when the horrific accident took place. Arati goes to Siddhartha’s office the next day and signs some official documents. She is however, refused Siddhartha’s belongings to be taken and is saddened. She blames the office for letting her son drive under the influence of alcohol. But when she realizes that her son was in love with a man called Arnob, as new secret life of her son is revealed which brings her world crashing down once again.
The movie is directed by Sanjoy Nag and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni. The star cast includes Rituparno Ghosh, Deepti Naval, Raima Sen, Rajat Ganguly, Pradip Roy, Suchita Roy Chaudhury and Anya Chowdhry.
