Thakur and Sehgal are two wealthy aristocrats who go on a tiger hunting trail in the forest one day. When both spot a tiger and fire a shot there is dispute over whose bullet has actually hit the tiger. The small quarrel turns into a huge fistfight and eventually gunshots are fired where Sehgal dies. His son is furious over the news and goes to avenge his father’s death. However before he could do so, Thakur dies. Both the families now become staunch enemies of each other and swear never to associate with the other.
Years later however, Durga and Jai from each of the families have fallen in love. The families are deadly against the union. Jai’s brother Vishal tries to make peace and make his father understand that this will be the step towards harmony for both families. However things take a turn for the worse when Vishal is killed and the blame is naturally put on Thakur’s men. The feud between the two families now gets even more worse. The film is directed by Bapu and produced by Ratan Irani. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri. The star cast includes Jackie Shroff, Amrita Singh, Shakti Kapoor, Romesh Sharma, Pradeep Kumar, Amrish Puri, Bharat Bhushan, Sharat Saxena, Sudhir Pandey and Aruna Irani.
