Ajay Sharma lives with his mother in a humble home and barely manage to makes ends meet. His uncle Deviprasad then one day pays them a visit with the good news that he is entrusting a large amount of wealth and estate for them. They will however get the property if they improve the lives of the people living in Sundergarh. And the person responsible in helping him will be Deviprasad’s son Sarjuprasad. When Ajay’s mom and Deviprasad pass away, Ajay takes care of the Bombay business. He sends loads of money to Sarju to build roads and schools for the villagers. Then one day Ajay gets an anonymous letter that Sarju has been misusing the money.
Ajay decides to visit Sundergarh to investigate and to his shock Sarju hasn’t been using the money well. So he monitors the work for the school. This infuriates Sarju and he starts to spoil Ajay’s name as being a womanizer. The villagers now look at Ajay with suspicion. The film is directed by Dulal Guha and produced by Prem Lalwani and Mohan Lalwani. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast inludes Dharamendra, Uttam Kumar, Moushumi Chatterjee, Shashikala, Shreeram Lagu, Johnny Walker, Asit Sen, Abhi Bhattacharya and Padma Khanna.
