Bijli lives with her parents in a small village called Chandanpur and is their only child. She is lively and happy-go lucky. However her father isn’t happy about the fact that he has no son. Bijli decides to prove his father wrong about girls and what all they can too achieve. She then goes on a crusade with her lover to fight all the obstacles that come her way. The film is directed by Keshu Ramsay and produced by B Lachman. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the screenplay is written by Keshu Ramsay and Iqbal Durrani. The cinematography is by S M Anwar.
The star cast includes Kabir Bedi, Dimple Kapadia, Danny Denzongpa, Prem Chopra, Ashok Saraf, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, Navin Nischol, Raju Shreshtha, Gurbachan, Manek Irani, Sudhir, Shraddha Verma and Leena Dass.
