Deepak Verma is an honest and hard working man. He is one day accused of a murder he did not commit. The public prosecutor G.D Thakral knows of Deepak’s innocence and has means to save him but does nothing. This results in Deepak getting hanged to death. His widowed wife and son Arun go to G.D Thakral but they are humiliated and asked to leave. She runs off and looses her sanity. Years later Arun has grown up to be a lawyer himself. He helps a girl Geeta in freeing her brother. Soon enough Arun comes face to face with G.D Thakral and all the dark memories of his father’s death come flooding back. The film is directed by Subhash Ghai and produced by N N Sippy. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Anil Kapoor, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Javed Jaffrey, Amrish Puri, Parikshat Sahni, A K Hangal, Girish Karnad, Nutan
