Mili is a romantic drama film released in 1975 directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri and Ashok Kumar.
A story of a young girl Mili (Jaya Bhaduri) a bubbly lively inquisitive and a cheerful girl who spreads happiness in everyone’s life but, she herself is suffering from Malignant anemia, a disease that is untreatable which was the case during the making of the film. Mili becomes an inspiration to many and to her new neighbor Shekhar (Amitabh Bachchan) who is cranky, drunkard and always depressed. She brings cheer into his life and falls in love with her. Shekhar comes to know of the dreadful disease and wants to marry her to take Mili abroad for treatment to get her cured completely. The last scene is seen the couple flying to Switzerland where they both hope there is a cure for her disease and they can live happily ever after.
