Rakesh Dhawan, played by Akshay Kumar is a scientist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). He is determined to make his country proud by pulling off something that might seem impossible to many but with hard work and dedication can be made possible. He along with Tara Shinde, played by Vidya Balan, another scientist, form a diverse team that come together to pull off one of the greatest missions of human history. They plan to launch India’s first satellite to the planet Mars. The scientists battle with their personal struggles, challenges as well as failures to achieve something extraordinary.
The star cast of the movie includes Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi, H. G Dattatreya, Dalip Tahil, Sanjay Kapoor, Rajat Barmecha and Sundeep Kishan. The film is directed by Jagan Shakti and produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions
Fox Star Studios, Aruna Bhatia and Anil Naidu. The film is written by R. Blaki, Jagan Shakti, Nidhi Singh Dharma and Saketh Kondiparthi. The music is composed by Amit Trivedi.
