Mod is the story of Ananya played by Ayesha Takia who lives with her father Ashok played by Raghuvir Yadav and Aunt Gayatri played by Tanvi Azmi. They await the return of Aananya’s mother who has left long ago to pursue her dreams. Ananya runs a watch repair shop for a living to support the family.
One day a stranger called Andy comes to the store to repair his watch. He returns every single day with a water logged watch to repair and leaves a swan shaped 100 Rupees note for Ananya.
Over time they become friends and realize they are falling in love, until one day Ananya finds out that Andy is an imposter. He is using someone else’s name and is a patient at a local mental hospital. Her world comes crashing down on learning the guy she loved lied to her about everything.
