Joymohan, played by Anupam Kher has fulfilled almost of his life’s responsibilities and now wants to retire in the peace and warmth of his family’s company. Thus he decides to come to Mumbai from Kolkatta to spend some time with his son Indra, played by Rajit Kapur and daughter-in-law Rita, played by Divya Dutta. Rita isn’t very comfortable and happy about the new member intruding in their seemingly happy life. She however agrees to him staying if there is hope of getting a swanky new place from her father-in-law.
While on a morning walk one fine day, Joymohan bumps into a familiar face. He cannot believe his eyes, it is Neelima, played by Sharmila Tagore who was once upon a time his love interest during their college days. Old memories come flooding back to the two now veterans. Neelima’s daughter Anjali wants to finish her PHD in the US but lack of funds is causing a huge problem. Joymonhan feels for Neelima’s problems like his own and the two bond and meet everyday. The couple’s children, especially Indra and Rita are quite uncomfortable at this old age romance but Joymohan and Neelima are relentless.
The movie is directed by Arup Dutta and produced by Tapan Biswas. The music is composed by Jeet Ganguly and the cinematography is by Chandan Goswami.
