Johnny Master, played by Dev Anand is a self made man. He speaks his mind and is not afraid to speak the truth when circumstances call for it. He arrives in Kutch and sadly an earthquake hits the state. He looses everything and has no previous memory. People around him have died and he is the lone survivor. He makes a living by selling newspapers in the village of Kutch. Things change in his life when he hears the news that the government has declared parliamentary elections. The villagers want to make Johnny their candidate and urge him to stand for elections.
Surprisingly Johnny never expected to win but he does and things look great for him thereon. But unfortunately, his dreams are short lived and dreams shattered when the rival party members kidnap and torture him. He regains his memory and realizes that he is actually Prem Batra, the third richest man in the UK. He is now on a mission to destroy corrupt politicians and expose them.
The movie is directed and produced by Dev Anand. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and Darshan Dave. The cinematography is by Simon Hawken and the choreography is by Kamal Nath.
