77 year oldDaya wakes up from a nightmare one day and reveals to his family that his time has come. He demands to be taken to the holy city of Varanasi to die in peace and attain salvation. His dutiful son Rajiv decides he has no choice but to fulfill his father’s last request. He leaves his wife and daughter behind to take his stubborn father to Varanasi as he desires. They then check into the hotel called MuktiBhawan, where people come to spend the last few days of their life before they depart. As the days pass by Daya shows new signs of vigor as he finds solace in a lady called Vimla and makes new friends around.
Days turn into weeks and Daya shows no sign of slowing down. Rajiv is now in a dilemma as to what he should do. He is unable to decide weather he should leave his father, go or take him back with him or simply wait with him. He later decides to stay on and join in his father’s journey to salvation. The film is directed by Shubhashish Mukherjee and produced by Sanjay Bhutiani and Sajida Sharma. The music is composed by Tajdar Junaid and the story is written by Shubhashish Mukherjee. The star cast includes Adil Hussain, Lalit Behl and Palomi Ghosh.
