Naresh is a hard working man and is the union leader for the workers. His bravery and honesty gets him in trouble and he becomes a thornon the side for his employer Vikral. He then gets Naresh falsely accused of crimes and thefts but every time with no proper evidence he is set free. Naresh’s sister falls in love with Ashok who is the son of a wealthy man Vijay. Vijay however is instigated by Vikral and humiliates Naresh. He challenges him to become rich and only then come to his door with the marriage proposal. Naresh then becomes rich but Ashok’s father wants him to marry his friend’s daughter Rajni. In a strange turn of events Rajni is murdered and Ashok is accused of the crime while Naresh has kidnapped the child of a influential person.
The film is directed by T Rama Rao and produced by Gul. The music is composed by Viju Shah and the screenplay is written by Iqbal Durrani. The star cast includes Vinod Khanna, Shabana Azmi, Amrish Puri,Anupam Kher,Asrani,Mohan Chhoti and Vijaya Shanti.
