Alex, played by Jason Lewis, is a struggling writer and waiting to get his big break. One day while casually strolling the Venice Beach in LA, he happens to meet an Indian girl called Reena, played by Kashmira Shah. They soon become friends and Alex begins to fall in love with her. After a few days when he hasn’t heard from Reena he is worried. The only thing he knows about her is that she is from a place called Thakur Village in Mumbai. So he embarks on a journey to look for her.
Alex’s new driver tells him that Reena is in fact a top Bollywood actress, engaged to a film producer called Shekhar. He meets Reena’s friend Bobby, played by Sanjay Suri and stays with him. Reena doesn’t want to upset her parents by breaking the engagement and also thinks she owes her career to Shekhar. Reena’s mother and Shekhar feel that she and Alex are in love. She however, tells Alex to leave as she will accept her parent’s decision of her marrying Shekhar and have a traditional arranged marriage. Meanwhile Bobby comes to know that Shekhar is having an affair with a colleague.
Eventually Reena’s parents tell her to not give up on her happiness and go to Alex. Reena thus stops Alex before he leaves the country and the two get married. The movie is directed by Rajeev Virani and produced by Brad Listermann,
