My Friend Pinto is the story of Michael Pinto who lives with his mother and has a deep passion for music. Having lost his mother to an illness at a young age, he decides to reunite with his old friend Sameer who is his only hope of living a sane life. He starts a journey to look out for his friend and encounters various funny and amusing incidents.
While on his quest he meets Maggie, played by Kalki Koechlin at a train station and instantly gets attracted to her. He keeps meeting this beautiful stranger at various stages in his life. He ends up at his friend Sameer’s house but he and his wife aren’t home and he somehow gets locked out and reaches a music store where he meets a Don. The Don notices Michael’s knack for music and invites him for a party he hosts. There he ends up meeting his friend and his wife along with Maggie and a lot of tricky situations that have developed over a period of time through his journey.
My friend Pinto is directed by Raghav Dar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala. The music is composed by Ajay Gogavale and Atul Gogavale.
