Ravi, played by Anil Kapoor gets the news from his father-in law that his daughter Sheela, played by Suchitra Krishnamoorthy, has not returned home. Ravi is cluessless as to what could have happened as she had no other plans after returning from her Shirdi. Ravi then files a case with the local police station about his wife Sheela being missing, after 24 hours of her not showing up. The police register Ravi’s complaint and begin the investigation. Meanwhile Inspector Tejpal, played by Boman Irani is called near a pond, where a dead body of a woman is recovered. The woman is identified as Sheela, who’s husband had filed a missing person’s report recently.
Tejpal goes to meet Ravi and his father-in-law to get all his answers in the investigation. Tejpal then concludes that Sheela had been beaten to death before she could reach her parent’s house and then thrown into a pond. There was no obvious motive to murder Sheela, as none of her belongings were missing and neither was she sexually molested. All red flags show up as the suspicion is now pointing towards Ravi and his father-in-law.
The movie is directed by Jiji Phillip and produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company and Ram Gopal Varma. The film is written by Atul Sabharwal. The music is composed by Amar Mohile.
