Esha Malhotra, played by Esha Deol finds a note from a ex-school mate. She then announces what’s written on the note to a radio station. Soon the man behind the note calls in to reveal it was him and the RJ of the radio station sets up a date but Esha instead leaves a note for the man named Rahul, played by Hrithik Roshan. She leaves her post box number and they both begin written regularly to each other. Rahul is a photographer and Esha hires him one day, not knowing it is him she has been writing to. Neither does Rahul know she is the girl he’s writing to.
Soon Esha’s family wants her to get married but she is in love with Rahul and doesn’t want to marry Akshay, played by Saif Ali Khan, who her parents have chosen. Turns out Akshay is Rahul close friend. When Rahul learns the truth, he decides to leave for Vancouver and never return. Four years later Rahul bumps into Akshay and learns that he never married Esha as she was still in love with the mystery writer. Learning this he hurries back to India to be with her.
The movie is directed by Arjun Sablok and produced by Kishore Biyani. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan and Anand Bakshi.
