Professor Vijay (Rajnikanth), irritated by the shady activities taking place in his neighbourhood as a result of a local thug named Anburaj and sidekick Mohanraj (Satyaraj), inspires locals to launch a campaign against the pair's illicit enterprises. As a result, Mohanraj exacts cruel retribution, to which Vijay responds by becoming a vigilante.
