A Brahmin farmer falls gravely ill and is treated by the local village doctor. After recovering he asks what are the fees, to which he says that he would like his nephew to marry his eldest daughter. Thus Omkar, the farmer’s eldest nephew marries Roopa. When the latter gets pregnant, her younger sister Gunja comes to stay with her and subsequently falls in love with Omkar’s brother Chandan. Only Roopa knows about their affair and she promises that she will help them get married. But unfortunately Roopa dies in childbirth. Omkar’s parents now ask Gunja to marry him so as to take care of the infant. She has no choice but to agree to the marriage. However on the wedding day their affair is revealed and Chandan is allowed to marry her. The film is directed by Govind Moonis and produced by Tarachand Barjatya. The star cast includes Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sadhna Singh, Mitali, Leela Mishra, Inder Thakur, Ram Mohan, Savita Bajaj and Shiela.
