Manmohan, played by Rishi Kapoor is Indian at heart but settled in London with his wife Bebo, played by Nina Wadia and daughter Jasmeet, played by Katrina Kaif. Jasmeet, who considers herself British is dating an English boy who her parents don’t approve of and want her to marry a traditional Indian boy with Indian values. So Manmohan and Nina tell Jasmeet they want to take her to India on a small vacation but secretly want her to select a boy to get married. Unaware of this, Jasmeet agrees and goes to India and meets their extended family.
While in India, Jasmeet is forced to marry Arjun Singh, played by Akshay Kumar by tricking her. Now stuck in India, Jasmeet calls her friend Imran in the UK who advices her to go ahead with the wedding and after returning to London the marriage will no longer be valid. So on his advice she marries Arjun and asks him to come to London to see the city. But once there she announces her wedding to her English boyfriend Charlie Brown. A heart broken Arjun who is now in love with Jasmeet decides to win her affection. Eventually Jasmeet falls for Arjun’s innocence and loyalty and they both decide to get married.
The movie is directed and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The story of the movie is written by Suresh Nair. The music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
