Dr Sunil and Dr Hira have been partners and are successfully running their gynecology clinic for years. Sunil however, treats his profession like a business, unlike his father who treated many patients for free and thus went into heavy debt. One day Hira’s patient dies due to negligence but he blames the nurse and the matter is closed. Meanwhile Sunil has to deliver the minister’s daughter’s child and comes to know that it is a complicated case. He has to make the tough decision of saving either the mother or the child, so he decides to save the mother.
The minister is devastated and furious at his grandchild’s death and lodges a complaint against Sunil with the medical council. Unfortunately Hira supports the minister. Later Sunil comes to know some solid evidence about how Hira’s patient actually died from the nurse herself and files a case against him. Sunil now decides to follow in the footsteps of his late father and no longer treat his profession like a business. The film is directed by Ashok Chopra and produced by B K Adarsh. The music is composed by B K Adarsh and the story is written by Mohan Kaul. The star cast includes Om Puri, Priya Tendulkar, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Arun Bakshi, Achyut Potdar and Vikas Anand.
