Like other Bengali boys, Natobar aspires to be a poet. He tries everything while dabbling in poetry, but fails. He has a dream visit from Rabindranath Tagore, who grants him a blessing: he temporarily gains Tagore's lyrical ability. With this in hand, Natobar sets out to conquer the world. He composes two volumes of poetry about Mishtu, the girl who lives next door, whom he likes, but finds it challenging to have them published! He enters the world of advertising after experiencing heartbreak, where he quickly finds success as a jingle writer.
