RP, played by Ayushmann Khurrana is a successful theatre actor and has worked in many plays. One day as he is returning home after work he notices a man trying to commit suicide. The man in question is Mandar, played by Kunaal Roy Kapur. When asked further Mandar reveals that he is miserable and depressed about his break up with the love of his life Nandini, played by Pooja Salvi and doesn’t want to live anymore. RP consoles him and takes him to his house.
RP offers Mandar the role of Lord Ram in his play and tries to reconcile him with Nandini. In the process he ends up lying to his girlfriend and close friend. Confused and fed up with his antics, his girlfriend dumps him too. Later RP ends up falling in love with Nandini but feels he is cheating on Mandar as a friend and breaks up with her too. Thus he loses his girlfriend, close friend and love.
With too much happening in his life, RP decides to see a physiatrist as he has had three break-ups in a matter of three months. It is later seen that Mandar plays the role of Hanuman eventually in RP’s play and falls in love with Sita.
