Nilofer and Haider study in the same university. The latter is an aspiring poet and falls in love with Nilofer. However she is already engaged to be married to Wasim. Nilofer eventually marries Wasim and settles into her marital life. Things take a drastic turn when she realizes that her newly married husband is a workaholic. He gets a new business contract after marriage and is constantly occupied with it, leaving Nilofer feeling lonely and neglected. On their first wedding anniversary, she throws a party for family and friends but Wasim himself doesn’t turn up.
Feeling humiliated Nilofer leaves the party. There is a heated argument between the couple and in anger Wasim says Talaq three times.
A devastated Nilofer goes back to her house. She gets a job at Haider’s publishing house and realizes that he still loves her. Meanwhile Wasim regrets his mistake and wants Nilofer back. But as per Sharia law, she must marry another man and then divorce him to re-marry her previous husband. Soon Haider and Nilofer get married and are very happy. Wasim writes a letter to her asking her to divorce Haider so he can re-marry her but she refuses and stays on with Haider who loves her. The film is directed by Geeta Priya and produced by Dharam Priya Das. The music is composed by Ghulam Ali and Ravi. The star cast includes Ajay Handa, Master Fayyaz, Babbu Dinkar, Baby Sapna, Raza Murad and Rakesh Bedi.
