Nishaant is an Action-Crime Thriller Drama Film crafted with excellence by Shyam Benegal. The Story revolves around the life of Vishwam ( played by Naseeruddin Shah)- the younger child of the powerful Landlord, who rules the village. He is married to a woman- Rukmani (played by Smita Patil), but still falls in love with another woman- Susheela (played by Shabana Azmi)- wife of newly shifted School-Teacher. He and his father will go through any extent to achieve her.
