Thakur Pratap and his wife Janki Devi belong to the royal family. They live a lavish life and their palace is built in the midst of the lush forest. The crooked and cunning diwanji tries to take the precious Rajkamal necklace worn by Janki Devi by kidnapping her. She however escapes and runs off giving the necklace to an Adivasi and tells him to put the necklace on the statue of a goddess and keep it safe till she returns. Meanwhile Surya Prakash a close friend of Thakur Pratap tries to save Janki and is murdered. Diwanji and his allies then formulate a story that Prakash has taken away Janki for the Rajkamal necklace. Thus an enimity is formed between the two families. Many years later Pratap’s daughter Kavita and Surya’s son Raja fall in love. When they come to know of the other’s parentage, the families forbid the marriage. But Raja is hell bent on proving his father’s innocence. The film is directed by K Raghavendra Rao and produced by A S R Anjaneyulu. The music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The star cast includes Jeetendra, Utpal Dutt, Poonam Dhillon, Prem Chopra, Asrani, Shreeram Lagu, Om Shivpuri, Mohan choti, Rajendranath, Pradeep Kumar and Jayshree T.
